AllergyGuard Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2026

AllergyGuard is a personal tool designed to help individuals with known allergies scan product labels and cross-reference ingredients against their personal allergen profile (from Patch, Prick, or Intradermal tests) and dietary preferences.

Information We Collect

AllergyGuard is designed with privacy by design:

The only data that may leave your device is when you voluntarily use the “Ask Grok” feature. In that case, a prompt is copied to your clipboard and you are redirected to grok.com. You decide whether to paste the information.

How We Use Information

Because we don’t collect data, we cannot use or share it. The app uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to perform OCR entirely on your iPhone. No images or text are sent to any server for processing.

Children’s Privacy

AllergyGuard is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

You have full control:

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
