A2LA Launchpad is a professional application that helps calibration and testing laboratories
prepare ISO/IEC 17025 / A2LA-oriented documentation, training, QMS records, and readiness workflows.
It is published by Clauzer Dziedziensky (ShieldGuard family of apps) and powered by Grok (xAI).
Information We Collect
To operate a multi-user laboratory QMS and AI-assisted workflows, A2LA Launchpad may process:
Account data — name, email address, role (e.g. Quality Manager), organization membership.
Organization profile — company legal name, address, logo, lab size, selected calibration/test disciplines, signatory names and titles.
QMS and document content — quality manuals, procedures, forms, calibration records, NCR/CAPA, training results, and related files you create or upload.
Standards Vault files — PDFs you upload (e.g. standards you purchased). These remain private to your organization.
Usage metrics — feature usage and AI token volume for license transparency (unlimited under an active seat; shown for awareness).
Device integrity signals — limited technical signals (e.g. app version, platform, optional App Attest / Play Integrity tokens) to protect accounts and service abuse. We do not brick devices or wipe your lab data as a “punishment.”
Purchase / subscription data — handled by Apple App Store (and later Google Play). We receive entitlements, not your full card number.
How We Use Information
Provide and improve the app (documentation generation, training, QMS, exports).
Authenticate users, enforce seat licenses, and prevent fraud/abuse.
Send product-related notices (e.g. competence recycling reminders) you enable.
Process AI requests via our secure server proxy to xAI (Grok) only — no other AI providers.
AI Processing (Grok / xAI)
When you use Ask Grok, document generation, Vault Q&A, or the Assessor Simulator, relevant context
(e.g. lab profile excerpts, questions, document sections you choose) is sent to our backend and then to xAI’s Grok API.
The xAI API key never ships inside the iOS app binary. Do not paste secrets you are not authorized to process.
Data Storage & Security
Organization data is isolated by account/organization access controls.
Data in transit is protected with TLS.
You may keep offline drafts on device; sync occurs when connectivity is available.
We use industry-standard measures; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Sharing
We do not sell your laboratory data. We share data only with:
xAI — for Grok AI features you invoke;
Infrastructure providers — hosting, storage, email delivery under contract;
Apple — subscription/entitlement validation;
Legal authorities — when required by law.
Standards PDFs you upload are not redistributed to other customers.
Retention
We retain account and QMS data while your organization uses the service and as needed for legal, security, and backup purposes.
You may request export or deletion of personal account data by contacting us (subject to legitimate retention needs and multi-user org ownership).
Children's Privacy
A2LA Launchpad is a professional B2B tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
Access and update organization profile and user seats in-app (where available).
Request account-related privacy questions via contact email below.
Disable optional notifications in device settings.
Uninstall the app to remove local offline caches (server-side org data requires a deletion request if applicable).
International Users
The app is intended primarily for laboratories in Canada, the United States, Mexico (CUSMA/USMCA), and labs preparing to sell into the USA.
Data may be processed in Canada and/or the United States depending on hosting configuration.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top.
