These Terms govern your use of A2LA Launchpad (the “App”), published by
Clauzer Dziedziensky under the ShieldGuard family of applications.
By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. License & seats
The App is offered primarily as an auto-renewable annual seat subscription (suggested retail US$ 99 per seat per year, subject to store pricing).
Each seat is tied to a user identity (email) and role (e.g. Quality Manager, Technician).
While a seat is active, product AI features powered by Grok are included under the then-current plan (transparent usage dashboard; no surprise per-token billing in the standard plan).
Subscriptions are managed through Apple (and later Google) and renew unless cancelled in the store account settings.
2. Not official A2LA accreditation
The App is an independent software product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of A2LA
as an accreditation body. Using the App does not grant, imply, or guarantee accreditation.
3. Professional responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of laboratory data you enter.
AI-generated manuals, procedures, forms, answers, and training content are drafts until reviewed and approved by competent personnel (typically the Quality Manager).
You must own or have rights to any standards PDFs you upload to the Standards Vault.
You remain solely responsible for submissions to A2LA or any accreditation body.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Reverse engineer the App for the purpose of building a competing product, except where mandatory law allows;
Redistribute proprietary templates, system prompts, or generated document packs outside your organization without authorization;
Attempt to extract API keys, bypass licensing, or abuse the AI service;
Upload unlawful content or content you have no right to process;
Use the App for any purpose other than legitimate laboratory quality and accreditation preparation/operation.
Third-party standards (ISO, A2LA requirements documents, etc.) remain property of their respective owners.
“Grok” and “xAI” are trademarks of their respective owners.
6. Integrity & anti-abuse
The App may use store-approved integrity checks (e.g. Apple App Attest), license validation, code obfuscation,
and export watermarks to protect the service. These measures will not hold your laboratory records hostage
or disable your device.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT USE OF THE APP WILL RESULT
IN ACCREDITATION OR THAT AI OUTPUT IS ERROR-FREE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLAUZER DZIEDZIENSKY / SHIELDGUARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY,
ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP
IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Termination
We may suspend access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or abuse. You may stop using the App and cancel
auto-renewal in your Apple ID settings. Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein,
without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
App Store note
If you purchased a subscription through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions renew
automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
